This Privacy Policy explains how Silk Road Tycoon (“we”, “us”) handles information when you play our game. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the game and its online features.
Who you are to us (anonymous account)
You can play without an email, name, or password. On first launch we create an anonymous player account with a randomly generated trader name (for example “SilkTrader_4821”) and issue a secure access token stored on your device. We do not know your real-world identity.
Game save data (cloud save)
To back up and restore your progress, we store your game state — such as coins, caravans, cities, prestige, quests and league scores — on our servers, linked to your anonymous player id. This lets you recover progress and take part in leagues.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game offers optional rewarded video ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), coarse device information and interaction data to show and measure ads. Watching ads is always voluntary. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand how the game is used in aggregate — sessions, feature usage and crashes — so we can improve it. This may include a device identifier and app event data. It is not used to identify you personally.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Your payment card details are handled entirely by Google — we never receive or store your card information. We only receive a confirmation that a purchase was completed so we can grant the item.
What we do not collect
- No name, email, phone number or password.
- No precise location.
- No contacts, photos or files.
- No payment card details.
Data retention
We keep your anonymous player id and cloud save while your account is active. If you delete your data (see below) it is removed promptly. Inactive accounts and their data may be deleted after 24 months.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete My Data inside the game, or by emailing us. This removes your player identity, cloud saves, league memberships and rewards. See our Account & Data Deletion page for details.
Children
Silk Road Tycoon is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify players in-game.
